Energy Vortices (What is a Vortex?)

My sister and I recently visited Sedona, AZ, a place known for being the location of several energy vortices. We visited two of these vortex sites, and had very different experiences at both. We felt one far more strongly than the other. The picture above is at one of these vortex sites. This particular spot held a strong energy of love and well-being. I really didn't know much about energy vortices, other than they are an "energy center" so I sat down to ask my guides if they could explain more about these vortices. What exactly is a vortex? What's it's function? Below is the answer I received.

An energy vortex is a part of the earth’s energetic body, just as the chakras are a part of your energetic body. These energy centers regulate and maintain energy flow.
Like your main energy centers, the vortices in your earth that draw the mot attention are the ones of strongest power, where many ley lines come together and intersect. There are actually thousands of vortices all over the earth, but most are not noticed. Vortices help regulate the flow of earth’s energy just as your main chakras regulate the flow of energy in your body. There are many vortices all over the earth, each providing it’s own unique and valuable form of energy and serving its own purpose. When you come close to a vortex you will notice one may feel very different than another. Just as your heart chakra serves a different function than your root chakra, these earth vortices serve their own unique purpose of regulating energy flow and connecting the earth to the divine. These vortices, just as your chakras, serve as channels through which a connection to the divine is possible and divine energy may enter. All physical bodies, earth included, have an energetic body and this energetic structure actually supports and maintains the physical structure. And so it stands that a healthy, unblocked energetic body will result in a healthy balanced physical body. But when energy blocks occur, the physical body comes out of balance. As earth is inhabited by many, all contribute their energy in some way. The energy of what you would call negativity is affecting the earth’s energetic structure, as the earth’s energy centers try to regulate a healthy flow of energy. With so much energy to process, much of which is “negative” in nature, you begin to see physical ramifications as earth tries to release these energies and bring herself back into balance—earthquakes, tsunamis and other such events. Such events are actually a clearing process—a way of moving blocked energy in an effort to restore a healthy, natural flow of energy. The earth, like your physical body, is constantly trying to maintain balance and equilibrium. When you have a poor diet, ingesting many fatty, fried foods, your body will struggle to deal with this and eventually physical symptoms will develop. So it is as earth tries to maintain balance yet is continually “fed” a lot of toxic matter—in the form of thoughts, actions, intentions and physical toxicity as well, such as chemicals and pollutants that are being fed into the earth.
In terms of healing, there are some things you can do. Energetically, be mindful of what you are putting out into the world. Pay attention to your thoughts, your intentions, your words, and your actions. Are they rooted in fear or love? Are they in alignment with discord or harmony? Not only do these factors affect the earth, they affect you. You are a microcosm of the macrocosm. Your energetic and physical bodies are continually affected by the vibration of your thoughts, feelings, intentions, and actions. Likewise, the greater whole is affected as well. So not only is it wise to consider the elimination of emitting physical toxins and pollutants into the earth and her atmosphere, but also to eliminate the energetic toxins and pollutants as well.
Another thing you can do is practice sending healing energy to the earth—asking that love and light be sent to the places that need it most. Do not try to determine the place or type of energy to send. Just intend for the energy that is in the greatest good be sent to any and all spaces that need it. This is how you can be an instrument of healing for the planet. You and the earth have a symbiotic relationship—what you do, in all ways, affects the earth. Likewise, the earth’s energy affects you. When you cultivate a loving exchange of energy the benefits are vast and affect all of life everywhere. Be diligent in your quest to align with love and eliminate fear from your life. When you do this you not only maintain the health of your own energetic/physical body, but that of the earth as well. Be well.
