How Terrorists Teach Love
A brilliant question out of Asheville, NC: I understand that the energy we put into the world contributes either to peace or strife. I’m working on expressing only love and releasing judgment. But how do I express love/withhold judgment towards terrorists, murderers, and rapists? First of all, don’t be hard on yourself! You are learning to love, healing those parts of you that withhold love, and this is part of the human process. But understand that it is a process. So it’s okay to falter and fluctuate. And understand that you don't necessarily have to feel love towards these ones, but you can stop feeling hate. You can transform judgment into understanding. That said, let us introduce a new way to look at those in your world considered awful or malicious. They are a divine spark, just as you are, just as Jesus was, just as Mother Theresa was. Everybody has the same divine thread running through them. With this knowledge it is easier to understand
