The Physical Plane-Reality or Illusion?

Jenna Sizemore from Cincinnati asks some thought provoking questions about the nature of our physical plane and whether it is real at all or simply made up by the ego. If it is an illusion, than would any intellectual or spiritual pursuit we make within the illusion merely be used as a step up an illusory ladder that will disappear when we reconnect with Truth? If so, what does it matter what we eat? Could we simply enjoy fries & burgers and forgive the illusion of fat, cholesterol, and sodium? Profound questions! I have broken this down into two parts. The first question I asked the other side is simply, "Is this physical reality an illusion? Following that, the other side responds to Jenna's questions a little deeper regarding the nature of our physical reality, our perceived separation from God, and our relationship with food. Thank you Jenna for such insightful questions!

Is this physical reality an illusion (or projection of the mind?)

"This is a projection of the mind insofar as you believe you are separate from God. You are the Divine Source and in reality, have never strayed from that truth. What is illusion, or a projection of the mind, is your belief in your separateness and your belief in your smallness. You are not the unworthy, insecure, ‘not good enough’ persona you identify with. You are not your identity as a human persona (male/female, banker/doctor/teacher, husband/wife, etc.). You are God expressing through form. The physical plane you are in is a reality created for learning. Much of the physical laws you abide by (time and space for example) don’t truly exist outside of that plane. So in a sense you can say they are not real. The plane you live in however is a genuine vibratory space.

Now here is where it gets tricky. You are powerfully creative beings. Therefore, you are each creating your own respective realities within this physical plane. There are beliefs that are collectively adopted and endorsed thereby creating a consensus reality, and you each have your own unique individual perspectives and beliefs that will shape your personal reality. So in this sense the reality you experience while in this physical realm is indeed a projection of the mind. The illusion is the belief in your limited nature. Truth is you are God. Illusion is a belief you are anything less than God. But the physical realm you are temporarily living in is not illusion. You are operating in a very real vibratory plane, but within that you are experiencing the consequences of your illusory beliefs in your separateness. You are projecting those fears and false beliefs onto your personal reality (which you are creating) and thereby creating perceived “proof” of your perceived separation. It is why two people can share the same experience and yet have two completely different perspectives of that experience. Each individual will create their own reality of the experience based on their beliefs and perceptions."

"You are accurate in several of your statements, such as there is no separation from God, but rather all are part of the same Source. This is true. It can be said that the belief in your separation from Source is indeed a source of turmoil and “personal hell”. It is also true that this reality you experience on earth is not the true reality of your soul. The earth realm is designed as a place for one to learn and grow and expand its vibration. A sole belief that earth is all there is would indeed be an illusion. A misconception, however, is in believing that none of this matters. The soul chooses to leave the vibratory realm of spirit for the sake of growth and thereby chooses to incarnate into a physical plane (earth) for the benefit of experiential learning that is only available in this physical realm. Once the soul comes into the physical realm it takes on a physical, carbon based structure (the body). That structure is designed to operate optimally from certain things and will not respond as well to other things. It was designed to process and break down food in its purest form. With the introduction of chemicals/pesticides, GMO’s, etc.—things the body was not designed to break down—health issues and destruction of the physical body occurs. This is part of operating within the physical laws of a physical plane.

It is true that once you shed the body via death you will continue on in spirit form. So from that stand point you can’t truly die and the earth plane is but a constructed “classroom” for the soul’s growth. While living in a physical realm such as earth, the physical laws are indeed very ‘real’ in the sense they will have a cause/effect relationship to your choices (i.e., a diet solely of cheeseburgers and fries will lead to cholesterol issues and clogged arteries). Now that said, the bigger picture is that everything is energy. Energy can indeed be manipulated and if one is adept at energy mechanics, he or she could smoke and eat burgers and remain healthy because they would be able to change the energetic structure of those substances. This is not common knowledge or practice, however. Therefore, for all intents and purposes the physical laws you temporarily abide by while here are ‘real’.

To answer more about the separation from God—yes, this belief in separation is the cause of your personal and global turmoil. You have forgotten your true Divine nature and Oneness with Source and as such experience all manner of insecurities and fears. But the soul is intent on expanding. To do that, it will enter a realm that offers a wide spectrum of emotion, the experience of which results in growth. You can say you have a temporary amnesia while on the earth plane. But understand, this serves you. It allows you to experience multiple facets of the human emotional spectrum, which allows you to grow and expand. How can you know love until you know hate? How can you know gratitude without experiencing loss?

There is a misconception that you are intended to wake up from a dream and immediately reunite with God. You already are God. This is what God is doing. God is experiencing through you. God is experiencing through everything in the multi-verse. God is not trying to ‘get back to itself’, it is trying to experience and explore every conceivable facet of possible existence. You are not lost and trying to make your way back to God. You are God doing exactly what God wants to do. When you realize your oneness with God, with all things, it does indeed shift your vibration and make for a far different experience of life on earth than if you choose to maintain a belief in your separateness from Source and all things. You can certainly bring more power to your earthy experience by aligning more with God, or your Higher Self. But there is no need to strive to reconnect with something you were never disconnected from.

‘God’ is not a single entity as portrayed in spiritual scriptures. God is energy like everything else. The nature of energy is to move, it is not stagnant. There is a process of expansion and contraction and Source can be considered the most macrocosmic view of this expansion/contraction of energy. As Source energy expands, it sends various fractals (you would be a fractal of Source) out into a state of exploration and experience. Contraction is when all parts of the whole come back into a condensed state. This is purely physics and the nature of energy. On a microcosmic scale, you (your soul) is having this experience of contraction/expansion. You have an individual soul that experiences multiple realties (different lifetimes for example). This is where you get a sense of individuality—because you do to some extent have your own personal trajectory as a fractal of Source. But there is no disconnect and eventually at some point all fractals will retract back to the original energy source (God). You are on a microcosmic scale doing this same expansion/contraction with your energy every time you incarnate into a physical structure and then leave the physical structure. Energy is always in flux like this. Everything you do, at the soul level, is a microcosmic view of what’s happening at the macrocosmic level."
